ABOUT ABOUT

The Harmony Players will present Gilbert and Sullivan’s comic opera The Pirates of Penzance at Cornerstone Center for the Arts this March. Performances of this timeless comedy will take place on March 16, 17, 18, 23, 24, and 25 with Friday and Saturday shows at 7:30 p.m. and Sunday matinees at 2:30 p.m. in Cornerstone’s Majestic Room.

Freshly 21, Fredric the pirate announces his hatred of piracy. Frederic learns that he was born on the 29th of February, and so, technically, he has a birthday only once each leap year.  His agreement to remain apprenticed to the pirates until his 21st birthday means he must serve for another 63 years. Fredric runs into some problems on his journey, but in the end, Fredric finds out what is truly important.

Pirates remains popular today, entertaining all ages.  The Pirates of Penzance and H.M.S. Pinafore are the most frequently played Gilbert and Sullivan operas.

The Harmony Players are a semi-professional theatre group of performing artists based out of Jay County in Portland, Indiana.  They will be performing H.M.S Pinafore in May at Cornerstone Center for the Arts.  Join The Harmony Players and your friends at Cornerstone Center for the Arts for this performance that will keep you laughing the entire time. Tickets are just $15 per person or $10 for children under 12 years of age.   Group Rate for 20 or more are $10.00 per person.
